April proved to be a lucky month for Kansas Lottery players throughout the state, with $19.09 million in prizes won or claimed! Of that, $16.04 million was claimed on instant scratch games, $1.86 million was won on draw games, and $1.19 million was won on monitor games!
Kansas is one of seven states where winners can claim their prizes anonymously. The Kansas Lottery saw 36 players claim prizes of $10,000 or greater, and six those winners shared their stories with the Kansas Lottery. Their stories can be found here. Some highlights from instant winners include:
- One $250,000 prize on the $30 Premier Cash game;
- Three $100,000 prizes, one each on the $20 Black Ice, $20 Power 20X, and $20 Extreme Crossword games;
- Four $75,000 prizes, one each on the $10 Power 10X, $10 Bonus Payout, $10 Kansas Dollars, and $10 100X the Cash tickets;
- One $50,000 prize on the $5 Super Red Hot Crossword ticket; and
- Three $25,000 prizes, one each on the $5 Cash Cow, $5 Power 5X, and $5 Neon Letter games; and
- Five $20,000 prizes on the $2 Double Bonus Crossword game.
Below is how much was won throughout April for draw and monitor games:
- Powerball: $378,677, including one $150,000 Power Play prize and one $50,000 prize;
- Mega Millions: $225,052, including one $40,000 Megaplier prize;
- Lotto America: $168,796, including one $20,000 win and one $4,000 All Star Bonus prize;
- Super Kansas Cash: $313,089, including 11 $2,000 wins;
- Lucky for Life: $173,918, including one $5,000 winner;
- Pick 3: $443,160, including 498 winners who each won $500;
- 2by2: $160,284, including three $22,000 top prizes;
- Keno: $648,409, including a $55,390 prize; and
- Racetrax: $538,867.70, including a $66,215.00 prize.
The Kansas Lottery encourages players to double-check their tickets since many large prizes remain unclaimed, including the $20,000 Lotto America prize sold in Northwest Kansas and several Holiday Millionaire Raffle prizes of $1,000 or more! Players have 365 days from the date of a drawing to claim their prize. For instant games, players have 180 days from the date a game ends to claim.
