$50,000 Powerball Prize Sold in Southwest Kansas

One Kansas Lottery player in Southwest Kansas is waking up to being $50,000 richer after winning a Powerball prize! The ticket matched four numbers and the Powerball to win. The winning numbers on August 18, 2021, were 35 – 36 – 51 – 55 – 61 Powerball 26 and PowerPlay 2X.

The counties in Southwest Kansas include Greeley, Wichita, Scott, Lane, Ness, Rush, Hamilton, Kearny, Finney, Hodgeman, Pawnee, Stanton, Grant, Haskell, Gray, Ford, Edwards, Kiowa, Morton, Stevens, Seward, Meade, Clark, and Comanche.  

The next drawing is Saturday, August 21, with an estimated jackpot of $290 million! Players have until 8:59 p.m. Central Time on draw days to purchase tickets.

Powerball jackpots start at $20 million and tickets start at just $2! There are nine ways to win, and by adding the PowerPlay multiplier for an additional $1, you can multiply your win up to 10 times, except for the jackpot. And don’t forget, starting Monday, August 23, Powerball will be drawn three times a week, with the extra draw day on Monday!
