Fourteen lucky Kansans have been chosen as semi-finalists for their chance at $1 million as part of the Powerball First Millionaire of the Year second-chance promotion! The semi-finalists will also receive $1,000 in cash!

Five finalists will be chosen from the nationwide pool of semi-finalists to celebrate Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2022 virtually from home, as well as receive a prize package valued at $20,000. During the event, one of those five finalists will win $1 million! The five finalists will be drawn by the Multi-State Lottery Association the first week of November.
Kansas Lottery players entered their winning and non-winning Powerball tickets into PlayOn® from August 22 through October 3, 2021. Each Powerball ticket entered received an entry based on the dollar value of the ticket (e.g. $4 Powerball ticket received four entries), and each Powerball with Power Play ticket received double entries (e.g. $3 Powerball with Power Play ticket received six entries). There were 1,968,291 entries in the Kansas Lottery’s drawing.
