A Neosho County resident has just claimed an instant ticket prize of $250,000! The player, who wished to remain anonymous, won the top prize on the Kansas Lottery’s $30 Multiplier Super Ticket game.
The winner buys a few tickets here and there, usually of different price points. On this trip, the Neosho County resident got a drink and a single $30 ticket.
“I started scratching it off, and thought it was $25,000 to start, but then it ended up being a lot more!” the winner said. “I thought ‘What the heck is going on?’ I sat in my truck for a good 30 minutes before it really sunk in! I just never figured I’d win something like this.”
Even once they realized they were a quarter of a million dollars richer, the winner didn’t tell a soul before driving up to Lottery Headquarters in Topeka to claim the prize! “I wanted to make sure it was real before I told any family about it!” the winner added.
The winner plans to spend much of the money on expanding their business, as well as put some toward family expenses.
The winning ticket was sold at Pete’s 24 at 701 N. Santa Fe Street in Chanute. There is one top prize of $250,000 remaining in the $30 Multiplier Super Ticket instant game, plus thousands in other prizes!
Players are invited to submit all their winning and non-winning tickets in the Kansas Lottery PlayOn® Players Loyalty program to earn points for drawing entries and a chance to win cash and other prizes! PlayOn® is a registered trademark of Pollard Banknote Limited used under license.
