Powerball Ticket worth $2 Million Sold in Northeast Kansas!

Kansas might not have sold the winning Powerball jackpot ticket in the Wednesday, March 27 drawing, but one ticket worth $2 million was sold in the northeast region! The $2 million prize is the largest prize won in Kansas in 2019!

The lucky ticket holder matched five-of-six total numbers and by including the Power Play option for an additional $1, the player doubled their prize from $1 million to $2 million.

The winning numbers in Wednesday’s drawing were 16, 20, 37, 44, 62, with a Powerball of 12. The winning jackpot ticket worth an estimated $768.4 million, with a cash option of $477 million, was sold in Wisconsin.

Kansas also had two $50,000 winners in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing! One $50,000 ticket was sold in south central Kansas and the other $50,000 ticket was in northeast Kansas.

The northeast winner claimed their $50,000 prize anonymously at the Kansas Lottery headquarters in Topeka early Thursday morning. The winner said after checking their ticket Wednesday night, they were so excited they couldn’t sleep!

Powerball wasn’t the only game to draw winners in Kansas. Super Kansas Cash had four tickets match the first five numbers, but not the Super Cash Ball. Each ticket is worth $2,000! Two tickets were sold in northeast Kansas, one ticket was sold in northwest Kansas, and one ticket was sold in south central Kansas.

The next Super Kansas Cash drawing is on Saturday, March 30, with an estimated record jackpot of $6.275 million.

Since the Powerball jackpot was hit, the jackpot now resets to a guaranteed $40 million jackpot with a cash option of $24.8 million for the Saturday, March 30, drawing.
