After a long holiday weekend, one lucky Kansan is waking up with more money in their pocket! A $50,000 Powerball ticket from the July 3 drawing was sold in northeast Kansas!
The northeast region includes the following counties: Marshall, Nemaha, Brown, Doniphan, Riley, Pottawatomie, Jackson, Atchison, Geary, Wabaunsee, Shawnee, Jefferson, Leavenworth, Wyandotte, Johnson, Osage, Douglas, Franklin, Miami, Morris and the northern half of Lyon.
The winning numbers in the July 3 drawing were 40-43-45-50-61 with a Powerball of 25.
The jackpot for the Wednesday, July 10, 2019, drawing is an estimated $180 million with an estimated cash option of $118.9 million.
The winner has 365 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize. The winner can claim their prize at the Kansas Lottery headquarters located at 128 N. Kansas Avenue, Topeka, KS.
For security reasons, it is the Kansas Lottery’s policy not to disclose the store where the winning ticket was sold until the ticket is claimed.
Powerball tickets are $2 per play. Players select five numbers from 1 to 69; and one Powerball number from 1 to 26. Powerball drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 9:59 p.m.
