$14.4 Million in Lottery Prizes Won in October

The Kansas Lottery has announced $14.4 million in prizes were won on Lottery games throughout October. Of that, $11.7 million was claimed in instant scratch games, $1.7 million was won on draw games, and $1.0 million was won on monitor games. Several PlayOn members also saw significant wins.

Kansas is one of seven states where winners can claim their prizes anonymously. The Kansas Lottery saw 18 people come to Headquarters to claim instant prizes of $10,000 or greater.

Some highlights from instant winners include:

  • One $250,000 winner from the $30 Multiplier Super Ticket game;
  • Three $100,000 winners, two on the $10 $100,000 Crossword ticket and one on the $20 $100,000 Cash ticket;
  • One $75,000 winner on the $10 Kansas Dollars ticket;
  • One $50,000 winner on the $5 Super Red Hot Crossword ticket; and
  • One $25,000 winner on the $5 Neon Letters ticket.

Below is how much was won throughout October for draw and monitor games:

  • Powerball: $193,161;
  • Mega Millions: $121,520, including two $10,000 wins;
  • Lotto America: $108,998, including two $2,000 and $1,000 wins;
  • Super Kansas Cash: $680,952, including the $538,871 jackpot won in North Central Kansas;
  • Lucky for Life: $154,409;
  • Pick 3: $324,500, including 369 winners who each won $500;
  • 2by2: $109,322, with one top prize of $22,000 won in South Central Kansas;
  • Holiday Millionaire Raffle: one $30,000 prize from the October 4 Early Bird drawing;
  • Keno: $567,307; and
  • Racetrax: $435,398.20, including one prize of $32,241.

Several PlayOn members also won large cash prizes and prize packages through second-chance drawings. On October 9, 2020, one player won a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado plus $10,000 in cash! Other large PlayOn prizes included $15,000 won from the Super Ticket Bonus second-chance drawing and $12,500 and $10,000 won from the X the Cash second-chance drawing.

The Kansas Lottery encourages its players to double-check their tickets since many of the top tier prizes remain unclaimed, including the Super Kansas Cash jackpot prize of $538,871 won on October 14, 2020, in North Central Kansas. Players have 365 days from the date of a drawing to claim their prize. For instant games, players have 180 days from the date a game ends to claim their prize.
