$14.2 Million in Prizes Won in October 2021!

The weather may have turned cooler, but Kansas Lottery players were hot with big prizes in October! Overall, there were $14.2 million in prizes won in October, with $11.5 million won on instant games, $1.7 million won on draw games, and $948,324 won playing monitor games.

Kansas is one of eight states where winners can claim their prizes anonymously. The Kansas Lottery saw 15 players claim instant prizes of $10,000 or greater, and two winners publicly shared their stories with the Kansas Lottery. Their stories can be found here. Some highlights from instant winners include:

  • One $100,000 prize—on the $20 $100,000 Cash Party game
  • One $50,000 prize – on the $5 Super Red Hot Crossword ticket;
  • Two $25,000 prizes—one each on the $5 Neon Letters and $5 Kansas City Chiefs tickets
  • Two $20,000 prizes – Both won on the $2 Double Bonus Crossword ticket
  • One $15,000 prize - on the $3 Plinko game
  • Eight $10,000 prizes – Two on the $20 $100,000 Crossword ticket, two on $2 Celebrate All Things Kansas ticket, One on the $20 $100,000 Cash Party ticket, one on the $30 $250,000 Jackpot ticket, one on the $20 200X ticket, and one on the $2 20X ticket.

Below is how much was won throughout October for draw and monitor games:

  • Powerball: $617,422, including on $100,000 prize and three $50,000 prizes;
  • Mega Millions: $119,194, including one $2,500 prize and two $1,500 prizes;
  • Lotto America: $126,309, including four $1,000 prizes;
  • Super Kansas Cash: $186,894, including six $2,000 prizes;
  • Lucky for Life: $254,382, including three $5,000 wins;
  • Pick 3: $330,920, including 382 winners who each won $500;
  • 2by2: $119,696, including two top prizes of $22,000;
  • Keno: $574,853; and
  • Racetrax: $373.471.

The Kansas Lottery encourages players to double-check their tickets since many large prizes remain unclaimed, including a $1 million Mega Millions prize sold in South Central Kansas on June 1; five $50,000 Powerball prizes; two $20,000 Lotto America prizes sold in Northwest Kansas, and several Holiday Millionaire Raffle prizes of $1,000! Players have 365 days from the date of a drawing to claim their prize. For instant games, players have 180 days from the date a game ends to claim.
