Recent Winners!

John Moore of Lawrence was filling up his delivery truck when he decided he’d also run inside the store and get a few items. At check out, his eye was drawn to the neon colors of the $5 50X the Cash instant tickets. His keen sight has now paid off with a $25,000 win!                                               

“It was incredibly exciting. Every single spot I scratched was a winner,” said Moore. “I just kept going and going. I had no idea what I had won until I stopped and counted it all up. I still can’t really believe it!” 

Moore said the first person he told about his big win was his boss, so he could ask to take the next day off of work and come claim his prize. 

“My boss actually offered to let me clock out and go in my shift, but I decided it would be best to just finish out the day. It’s a busy time of year and I have lots of deliveries to get through,” said Moore with a laugh. 

The win comes at a great time for Moore and his family. “I showed my wife the ticket when I got home, and she said that it was a blessing from God, that He was looking out for us,” Moore added. “He certainly can work in mysterious ways!” 

Moore said that he plans to share his winnings with his family. “Tis the season! No need to be a Grinch with my luck,” Moore added. “This is a great way to end the year and start 2020 off on a lucky note!” 

The winning ticket was sold at Kwik Shop 785 at 1611 23^rd Street in Lawrence. There is still one top prize left in the $5 50X the Cash instant scratch game, as well as thousands in other prizes.
