A Northeast Kansas player will be dancing merrily today, but it’s not only from being filled with the holiday spirit! The player’s Powerball ticket matched four numbers and the Powerball to win the $50,000 prize! The winning numbers on December 16, 2020, were 4 – 23 – 37 – 61 – 67 Powerball 7 and PowerPlay 2X.

Kansans have been hitting a lucky streak with the Powerball game! Last night’s $50,000 Powerball win is the sixth time the prize has been won in the Sunflower State since mid-November!

The Northeast Kansas region includes the following counties: Marshall, Nemaha, Brown, Doniphan, Riley, Pottawatomie, Jackson, Atchison, Geary, Wabaunsee, Shawnee, Jefferson, Leavenworth, Wyandotte, Johnson, Osage, Douglas, Franklin, Miami, Morris, and Lyon (northern half).

The next Powerball drawing is Saturday, December 19, with a jackpot of $304 million. Players have until 8:59 p.m. Central Time on draw days to purchase tickets.

Powerball jackpots start at $20 million and tickets start at just $2! There are nine ways to win, and by adding the Power Play multiplier for an additional $1, you can multiply your win up to 10 times, except for the jackpot.
